Using the Axi-Draw machine has transformed my approach to design and printing, offering a unique way to bring my ideas to life through plotting. By plugging into Inkscape, the machine translates vector data into physical drawings, allowing me to control details like hatching angles, line spacing, and crosshatching to create custom textures and patterns. Poster art, with its ability to quickly convey a story or concept, became the perfect medium for exploring new themes. As ideas surfaced, I sketched and plotted them one by one, turning abstract thoughts into tangible works of art. The process came full circle when I created a set of guidelines for using the plotter, then transformed those guidelines into a plotted poster, merging both form and function.
